The Israel Museum is located in Givat Ram, the home of the Hebrew University and the Government Quarter. The Permanent collections reflect Jewish and Israeli culture. There are galleries devoted to Art, Archaeology and Jewish History. The Shrine of the Book contains rare Archaeological artifacts, such as the Dead Sea Scrolls and a model of Jerusalem during the Second Temple period. The Museum is open 7 days a week.
